Siddaramaiah, aka CM, could not find a constituency: Pratap Simha
Siddaramaiah, who is the unquestioned leader of the Congress and the next CM, could not find a constituency. Siddaramaiah used to walk around the village like I am Padmavati. MP Pratap Sinha criticized that now he has come to Varuna at the foot of his old husband.
Speaking at a press conference in Mysore, BJP MP Pratap Sinha said that Siddaramaiah had to come to Varuna after losing his son's home. Siddaramaiah is coming to Varuna constituency from Pukkalatan. Last time, Siddaramaiah escaped by a small margin (Badami by a narrow margin). This time he said that wherever he stood he would lose.
Siddaramaiah says I will contest in Kolar if High Command gives me ticket. If the high command is not ready to give the constituency, on what courage will he say that I am the next CM? The party that did not give him the ticket will give him the post of CM? He said that Siddaramaiah politics is over in 2018 itself.
Amidst the constituency search, it was almost certain that Siddaramaiah would contest from the Kolar constituency. Two or three rounds of survey were also conducted by Siddaramaiah's supporters. But Siddaramaiah said that the BJP had claimed that he would not contest from Kolar.
Talking about the issue of Pratap Singh contesting for the assembly, he said that he will work as an MP in Modi's administration till 2029. He said, "I am not stupid enough to look for one assembly constituency, leaving the seat of MP representing 8 assembly constituencies."
